Fortingall is a small village in highland Perthshire, Scotland, in the glen of the River Lyon. For a tiny enclave it makes some pretty big claims: it is said to be home to Europe's oldest tree, a yew that is believed to be 5,000 years old, as well as being the birthplace of Pontius Pilate according to legend.
